Donald Trump made many bold promises before and after the election. Unlike so many other politicians, Trump went right to work to put many of these promises in place. He soon discovered that Washington didn’t run exactly like his private company where what he says gets done, and done right away (i.e. his immigration ban). Will he accomplish everything he promised? Many Americans hope he does, though the battles may be more difficult than he thought. Most Presidents find they ultimately need to compromise, reconsider or abandon some of their promises. He won’t be the first if this happens, and only time will tell what he ultimately accomplishes.
