After stating many times that he doesn’t settle cases, Donald Trump today agreed to settle the case against Trump University for a whopping $25 million. The suit was filed as a class action suit with 5,000 plaintiffs. When settled, the list of plaintiffs grew to over 6,000. Trump’s first response to the suit was to counter-sue the lead plaintiff, which was thrown out of court. BTW – The BBB denied ever giving a “A” rating to Trump University.
… “We have a 98 percent approval rating from the people who took the course. We have an “A” from the Better Business Bureau. And, people like it. Now, he’s saying they didn’t learn. We have many, many people that will be witnesses. Again, I don’t settle cases. I don’t do it because that’s why I don’t get sued very often, because I don’t settle, unlike a lot of other people.”
