During eight years as President, George W. Bush certainly saw some weird things. However, even he was taken back by some of the statements Trump made during his inauguration. According to New York Magazine, three separate sources claim to overhear former President Bush say “That was some weird shit” after leaving the ceremony.
Bush attended the ceremony with his wife Laura Bush as well as former president Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn, and former president Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary Clinton.
Trump thundered against the political elites in the audience, asserting that they had failed the American people.
