Not letting up in its’ investigation into potential criminal conduct in relation to Russia, the FBI has turned some of its focus towards Jared Kushner, Trump’s Adviser and son-in-law. Kushner is known to have met with the Russians in Trump Tower during the election, and may have further knowledge as to how other staff, such as disgraced former General Michael Flynn, may have interacted with the Russians during that time.
Kushner’s attorney said her client is willing to talk to the FBI if asked. “Mr. Kushner previously volunteered to share with Congress what he knows about these meetings. He will do the same if he is contacted in connection with any other inquiry,” said Jamie Gorelick, his attorney. This is a departure from the attitude of Michael Flynn, who has refused to provide documents, has stated he will plead the 5th if summoned to testify, and has asked for immunity from prosecution.
