After more than five weeks of not revealing whether he had made tapes or not, President Trump today came clean and tweeted that he did not. On May 12th, Trump had insinuated that he may have had made tapes of conversations he had with then FBI Director James Comey. Over the next five weeks, neither Trump nor his Press Secretary Sean Spicer, would confirm or deny that recording devices had been used in the White House. If tapes did exist, the President would have been required to turn them over to congress tomorrow.
James Comey better hope that there are no "tapes" of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!

…whether there are "tapes" or recordings of my conversations with James Comey, but I did not make, and do not have, any such recordings.
