President Trumps has said and supported some very unflattering comments about Saudi Arabia, a deeply religious Muslim country. Besides his previous comments, the Saudi’s rolled out the red carpet and welcomed the President warmly. The meeting resulted in Trump’s promise to sell approximately $110 billion in arms to the kingdom.
For some perspective, Saudi Arabia considers itself as “the home of Islam”. The city of Mecca is located in Saudi Arabia, and all able-bodied Muslims are required to make a pilgrimage to the Hajj at least once in their lifetime. Saudi Arabia has adopted the Quran as their constitution. The running of all aspects of the kingdom and society is based on the Quran. Because of religious beliefs, paper money was not allowed until 1951, television in 1965, and education of females was not allowed until 1964. It is punishable by death to distribute any non-Muslim religious materials such as a bible, or to convert from Islam to any other religion.
With such strong religious beliefs, it is curious why the kingdom would welcome Trump after he has made and supported the following rhetoric. Could it be because they want to buy the best military arms in the world, or is it because they believe he is such a good friend to the Muslim religion?

Trump may have gotten many of his views on Muslims from Michael Flynn, the disgraced National Security Adviser Trump had to fire who posted the following video to twitter during Trump’s campaign:
